New for 26/27

Faction turns 20
Alex Hoye and Tony McWilliam built the first Faction prototypes in Verbier in 2006. Twenty years on, the new skis are here: the Studio twin tips in the XX anniversary artwork, the Prodigy series for the park and the whole mountain, the Dancer series for the piste and freeride, and the Agent touring skis.

Studio 1, 2 and 3
The anniversary twin tips
The Studio skis carry the XX artwork by Parade Studios, made for Faction's 20th anniversary: a grey and black topsheet over a base that fades through orange, pink and purple, with blue added on the Studio 1 and 2. Between 8 and 12 full-length carbon stringers sit above and below the wood core, woven into the fibreglass, and add stiffness without bulk. Boat Flex makes the tips and tails stiffer than the middle, so the ski settles on landings and still loads up and pops.
The Studio 1 is a symmetrical park and pipe ski with a 90 mm waist and a 7 mm XL sidewall. The Studio 2 at 102 mm is the all-mountain twin with a poplar core, handcrafted in Austria. The Studio 3 at 112 mm is the freeride twin for soft snow.

Prodigy 1, 2 and 3
Park roots, whole mountain
The Prodigy series carries the Chasm artwork by Parade Studios, inspired by rock strata, crevasses and terrain cross-sections. All three have a poplar core between two layers of fibreglass, Mustache Flex that is stiff underfoot and progressive in the tip and tail, and a tail that is narrower than the tip, so they ski switch and still drive downhill.
The Prodigy 1 at 88 mm is for park and piste, with full-strength sidewalls, 2.5 mm XL edges and ash in the core. The Prodigy 2 at 98 mm is the all-mountain ski that comes along to the park. The Prodigy 3 at 106 mm is a directional twin for packed snow and powder. The Capsule versions carry artwork by Elsa Grace from her final year as the artist behind the Capsule series: Orange Wax on the Prodigy 2 and Limoncello on the Prodigy 3.

Dancer 79, 89, 99 and 106
Titanal for the piste and beyond
The Dancer Ti skis have a poplar core and two thin sheets of Titanal, which keep the ski stable on edge, through bumps and in changeable snow. The Dancer 79 Ti is the piste and carving ski with minimal rocker. The Dancer 89 Ti is made for carving fresh corduroy and stays easy to handle when the bumps build up later in the day. The Dancer 99 Ti is at its best when you move between the piste and the chopped-up snow beside it, and the Dancer 106 Ti is the freeride ski that floats in powder and still carves on hardpack.
The Dancer 79, 89 and 99 SYS come as complete sets with Salomon Strive 11 bindings mounted at the factory, without Titanal and with a more forgiving build.

Agent 2, 3 and 4
Light skis for the way up
Agent is Faction's touring ski, with a light core of karuba and carbon instead of metal. The number follows width and weight: the Agent 2 is the narrowest and lightest in our range, the Agent 4 is the widest, for powder, and the Agent 3 sits in between.
