Timeline of an industrial French master - Rossignol
1907, the first wooden skis were made in Voiron by the carpenter Abel Rossignol. In 1956 Laurent Boix-Vives buys the company to give the group an international dimension.
1967 the group acquires Dynastar.
1970 Rossignol becomes the world's largest producer of skis. 1989 Rossignol acquires Lange and launches the first Rossignol ski boot.
1994 Rossignol acquires the ski binding expert.
2005 Laurent Boix-Vives withdraws from the company, and Quicksilver buys out the group.
2009 Quicksilver sells Rossignol to the company Chartreuse & Mont Blanc. Consequently, a new management team led by Bruno Cercley is created.
2009-10 to rectify the company, an important recovery plan is developed and launched.
2010-11 a Taiwanese production line is relocated near Sallanches, in France.
2012 The factories in Sallanches and Artès are modernized thanks to an investment of 10 million euros. The group complies with the certification mark "Origine France Garantie". 2014 the group initiates a new development process. The Norwegian investor Altor becomes one of the main shareholders alongside some French shareholders, of which Bruno Cercley and other members of the management team are part.
2015 Sandbridge Capital becomes a shareholder to strengthen Rossignol Group's strategy in the clothing market. The group buys out Sport International.
