Prodigy 3 Capsule 26/27

The Faction Prodigy 3 Capsule is an all-mountain ski with a 106 mm waist and a directional twin shape. The graphic is called Limoncello and is drawn by Elsa Grace, in her final year as the artist behind the Prodigy Capsule series. The topsheet is blue with lemons, green leaves and a bottle, and the base fades from blue to pale yellow.

The ski is made for both packed snow and powder. The core is poplar between two layers of fibreglass. Poplar flexes, pops and absorbs vibration, and the core is torsionally stiff enough to grip well on the way down. Mustache Flex is stiff underfoot for solid edge hold. The flex in the tip and tail is smooth and progressive, so the ski soaks up bumps and loose snow. The tail is considerably narrower than the tip for better downhill performance, and the twin tip tail makes skiing switch easy. The elliptical sidecut has a long radius underfoot and a shorter radius in the tip and tail. Underfoot the ski pivots quickly, and the tip and tail make turns easy to start.
