The Story Behind MICO

MICO SPORT SPA was founded in 1970. Started as a female pantyhose manufacturer. In 1977, it shifted to a new product category and began producing technical sports socks. The most modern technologies and the most innovative materials, created in collaboration with world-famous athletes and a strong marketing campaign by MICO SPORT, a leading company in the national market for the production of technical sports socks. In the 80s, MICO SPORT added a complete range of "technical underwear" to its collection. Since 1993, it has been the official supplier to the Slovenian ski team and the Croatian alpine ski team. In 1999, MICO SPORT acquired the license for exclusivity to use X-Static silver fiber from the American company Noble Fiber Technologies Inc., considered the best in class.

Since 2000: official supplier of the Italian winter sports federation (F.I.S.I.)

From 2003 to 2004:official supplier of F.I.S.I.

Since 2006:Official partner of Italian alpine rescue.

Since 2009:Official sponsor of the Italian Army winter sports department.

Since 2010:Official supplier of the Slovenia Nordic Ski Team.

2014:Mico Sport begins cooperation with Alberto Tomba

2014:Certification from the Italian Phlebology Institute (Collegio Italiano di Flebologia)

2015:Certification from the TEXTILE AND HEALTH PROJECT by the Ministry of Health and TF - TRACEability and fashion
