The Youth Oslo Wavecel is Anon's helmet for young skiers and snowboarders, built around the same WaveCel technology as the adult models. This version comes in LB Midnight Crackle and combines a light build with a fleece liner and ear pads.
WaveCel is a cellular layer inside the helmet that behaves like a network of hundreds of interconnected shock absorbers between the head and the outer shell. On impact the cells distribute the energy, crumple the way a car's crumple zone does, and then glide so rotational forces are diverted away from the head. The shell is in-mold, fusing a lightweight polycarbonate outer with an EPS liner to keep the profile low and the weight down. An in-shell 360 degree BOA Fit System tightens in a full halo around the head with one turn of the dial, even on the move. The Fidlock buckle closes magnetically with one hand, gloves on. Ten fixed vents draw fresh air in at the front and pull moisture out at the back, and snow stopper fabric keeps snow out of the openings.
- WaveCel cells damp direct and rotational forces
- In-mold shell with polycarbonate and EPS
- 360 degree BOA system adjusts with one turn
- Fidlock buckle closes magnetically one handed
- Ten fixed vents keep goggles fog free
- Snow stopper fabric blocks snow from the vents
- Fleece liner and ear pads hold warmth
This helmet fits the young skier or snowboarder who is learning to handle their own kit. The BOA dial and magnetic buckle both work with gloves on, and WaveCel does its job in the background without making the helmet heavy or bulky.
