The Patagonia W's Nano-Air Light Vest is an insulated vest for aerobic, stop-and-go days in the mountains. It is built to stay on your body from the first climb to the last descent. This one comes in Ink Black.
Insulation is 40-g FullRange. The fill stretches and is unusually air permeable, so excess heat escapes while you work instead of collecting as damp inside the vest. The shell is a 2-oz ripstop in 30 denier with stretch, and the lining is a 1.6-oz shadow ripstop. Both carry a DWR finish made without intentionally added PFAS, so light moisture beads off. The quilting is low profile, and the armholes are cleanly finished, so the vest stays slim under a shell or a climbing harness. The centre-front zipper has a garage at the chin so it does not rub. Both handwarmer pockets and the chest pocket close with zippers, and the vest self-stuffs into that chest pocket. Fabrics are bluesign approved and the vest weighs 195 grams.
