The Oakley Icicle Softshell Bib in Blackout is a women's softshell bib for resort days, built for anyone who wants a high waist that keeps snow out. It runs on FNDry 10K with a Hydrofree DWR finish and a waterproof zipper down the full front.
Oakley rates the fabric at 10,000 mm waterproofness and 10,000 g/m2/24h breathability. The softshell build gives you a softer, more mobile fabric than a stiff hard shell, while critical seams are sealed so water cannot push through the stitching. The face fabric is 90 percent nylon and 10 percent spandex, which adds stretch through the hip when you drop into a turn, backed by 100 percent polyester. The waterproof front zipper makes getting in and out quick without stripping off your whole top half. Adjustable elastic suspenders and a wide elastic waistband hold the bib in place without pinching. Zippered hand pockets take care of a lift pass and a phone. Down low, abrasion resistant kick panels shield against steel edges, an ankle gusset with a zip makes the leg easy to pull over a boot, and snow gaiters with a metal hook block spindrift. The fabric weighs 338 g and the cut is slim.
