The Head WC Rebels e-Speed RP + FF 14 GW is a giant slalom ski for expert skiers who want speed and calm in long turns. The set comes with the Freeflex 14 GW binding. The ski is more forgiving than a FIS race ski.
The long radius and race construction keep the ski stable as the speed builds. It initiates turns easily and causes less fatigue than a pure race ski. The core is fir and beech with an aluminium alloy and fibreglass. ABS sidewalls give reliable edge grip. Graphene and titanal keep the weight down and make the ski quick to react. EMC is Head's electronic damping system. Ceramic piezo plates in the front and rear of the ski convert vibrations into electrical energy, so the ski runs smoother. Rebel Camber is full camber for acceleration and sharp edge grip. The base is RD Race Structured UHM C, the same type Head's World Cup technicians use. The sidecut is 114-68-99 mm, and the turn radius is 18.2 m at 180 cm. At the same length, the ski weighs 2460 g per ski without binding.
The Freeflex 14 GW has a DIN range of 4-14 and works with both standard alpine boots and GripWalk. Freeflex lets the heel slide back as the ski flexes, so the binding interferes as little as possible with the natural flex.
