The Starboard Ultra is a wave board built for real-world waves, with fast acceleration and snappy off-the-top manoeuvres combined with smooth bottom turns.
The Ultra concept thrives in everyday wave conditions and helps you get onto the line-up quickly, into critical sections and up into jumps. The shape has a strong scoop starting from the centre and increasing towards the nose to prevent nose dives and allow aggressive front-foot riding, while a modest tail rocker gives easy planing and top speed. A mono concave in the nose flows into a double concave in the middle and a vee'd, mild double concave in the tail, and a swallow tail delivers compact, tight turns. The fin setup uses two lightweight Starboxes plus a US-box that reduces tail swing weight, and fins slot in within seconds with settings retained. This version is built in Carbon Reflex Sandwich, the brand's lightest and proven flagship construction with the lowest warranty rates, using biaxial carbon for extra feel and response, early planing and maintained speed through turns, and it is built to order.
