Sweet Protection Trooper 2Vi SL Mips Helmet x Timon is a slalom helmet for alpine racing, supplied with a removable chin guard in powder coated steel. It is built on Sweet Protection's 2Vi platform and weighs 700 g. This version is a Team Edition, developed in close cooperation with slalom racer Timon Haugan.
2Vi integrates the shell, the shock absorbing liner and Mips into one system designed to raise both safety and comfort. The mono shell has variable thickness and is reinforced with TLC, a thermoplastic laminated carbon fiber. The multi-density liner has a complex geometry. The 2-layer Mips system manages rotational energy and helps reduce the forces otherwise transferred to the head in a crash. The Occigrip fit system tightens with a turn dial and adjusts in height. The snap-in lining is removable and washable. The helmet shape is adapted for a precise goggle fit, and an internal goggle garage with vents stores the goggle when you are not wearing it. Ventilation is adjustable. The Fidlock magnetic buckle is quick and safe to operate. The earpads are removable, and the helmet is Audio Ready, with Sound Chips sold separately. An easy-to-fasten hook keeps the goggle strap in place.
