The YETI Roadie 48 is a wheeled cool box for the long day out, when both food and drinks have to come along. This one is navy and holds 76 cans or 24.5 kilos of ice.
It rolls on NeverFlat wheels, moulded from a single piece so they neither puncture nor go soft on a gravel track. The Periscope handle pulls up when you tow the box and pushes down when it stands still. LipGrip handles sit on the sides and make it easy to lift between two people. The insulation is called Permafrost, a pressure injected polyurethane that keeps the cold in hour after hour. The Interlock lid seals against the body, and the ColdLock gasket shuts the heat out. QuickLatch closures can be worked with one hand. The height is chosen so wine bottles and two litre soda bottles stand upright. The BestDam drain plug lets meltwater out without tipping the box. The exterior measures 50.3 by 51.1 by 52.3 centimetres, and it weighs 11.7 kilos empty. A dry goods basket is included to keep bread and snacks clear of the water. YETI covers the Roadie range with a five year warranty.
