The Völkl Peregrine 76 Master is an all-mountain ski for high speeds on hard snow. As the Master edition of the Peregrine 76, it has an ash core normally reserved for Völkl's World Cup models, plus two layers of Titanal. It comes with the Marker Comp 16 GW binding on a premounted 10 mm Marker World Cup plate.
The ash runs the full length of the ski. It is a highly elastic hardwood that works as an energy store. As the ski flexes into the turn, the fibers stretch and absorb the tension. At the exit that energy is released, and the ski feels lively. Ash also adapts well to the surface, which keeps the ski stable and smooth. Up front sit Tailored Carbon Tips. The carbon fibers are embroidered onto a carrier material and laid along the stress lines, which gives a very direct and reliable tip response. 3D.Glass uses folded glass layers in the tip and tail for more edge grip and a livelier rebound. Extra glass above the sidewall supports the edge on icy slopes. The plate has Piston Control, an integrated hydraulic oil piston. At 176 cm the sidecut is 124-76-104 mm and the radius is 17.6 m. The ski weighs 2420 g without binding.
