Oakley Mont Scape M is built for skiers and snowboarders who want a large view in a straightforward frame. This version has a matte black frame and a Prizm Sapphire Iridium lens.
The Mont Scape chassis is deliberately plain, with soft lines and a low profile. Behind it sits a dual layer conical lens positioned close to your face. That geometry is the point: the field of view grows and distortion drops off when you look towards the edge of the lens rather than straight ahead. The Vision Rapt face foam is moulded in three dimensions, spreads pressure evenly and stays out of your sightline. The flexible O Matter frame is cast in bio resin and the strap is recycled polyester. Lenses are impact tested at both high mass and high velocity. Prizm Sapphire Iridium sets a blue mirror over a rose base and lets 13 percent of the light through. It is the darker option for sun and clouds, where glare off open snow otherwise flattens the terrain in front of you. It is sharpest on high pressure days, when the sun is up and the snow throws light back.
