In its muted Sand colourway, Oakley MOD3 is a snow helmet for alpine skiing and snowboarding where fit and airflow need to be controlled on the go. BOA 360 and Mips do the structural work.

The shell is polycarbonate, which keeps the weight down and makes the helmet easy to wear day after day. Mips sits as a low-friction layer between head and shell, reducing the rotational forces generated by an angled impact. The BOA 360 system tightens the full circumference from a dial at the back, spreading pressure instead of concentrating it in one spot, and you can adjust it on the move. The venting opens and closes, and a front air intake above the goggles pulls warm air out of the helmet. That also keeps the lens clear on the way up the lift. The lining is Polartec Power Grid, shaped three-dimensionally to the contours of the head, moisture wicking and vented, and it comes out for washing. The Fidlock buckle closes magnetically, so you can fasten the helmet with gloves on. MOD3 carries ASTM F2040 and CE EN 1077 certification, and a helmet travel bag and an Oakley decal are included.
