The K2 Mindbender 116C is a powder ski with a 116 mm waist and Powder Rocker. K2 built it for the deep days, and Freeskier Magazine gave it an Editors' Pick.
Powder Rocker has a higher rise over a long section in both tip and tail. That maximizes float in soft snow. Spectral Braid is K2's patented fiber reinforcement, where the fiber angle changes along the ski. It tunes torsion and flex, so the ski is stiff enough for deep landings yet still lively and playful. Uni-Directional Flax adds a layer of light natural fibers that run in one direction. They improve suspension and help the ski track through variable snow. The ski is sturdy enough for burly lines and for the traverse out to the stash and back again. The core is aspen, and the bio-resin keeps the flex consistent across a wide range of temperatures.
