The Oakley Kota Insulated Jacket in Mist is a fully insulated snow jacket for snowboarders and freestyle skiers who want warmth and weather protection in one layer. It uses Oakley's own two-layer FNDry laminate rated 15,000 mm waterproof and 15,000 g/m²/24h breathable.
The insulation is 3M Thinsulate Elite Eco, mapped at 80 g/m² through the body and 60 g/m² in the sleeves. That distribution puts warmth where you lose most of it while keeping the arms free enough to move. Seams are sealed all the way round, and the Hydrofree DWR finish beads water off the face fabric so the laminate never drowns. The hood detaches and stows away, adjusts with drawcords front and back, and carries a laminated brim. The snow skirt is removable as well. Mesh-lined zipped vents under the sleeves let you dump heat mid-lap without opening the jacket. There are zipped hand and chest pockets, an RFID pass pocket, an inner media pocket and a mesh pocket for goggles or gloves. A drawcord sets the hem width, an inner elasticated edge holds it in place, and the cuffs close with velcro. The fabric is 100 percent polyamide and the fit is baggy.
