The board

The board is built in Starboard's Zen construction which makes it light and rigid giving you stability and speed. Also, it is easy to handle when it needs to be packed and transported both too large and small. With a length of 11'2," you get plenty of lengths and with the 31+" width you have plenty of stability. The board is, therefore, a superb compromise between length and width which makes it possible to use it both for exercise, play and cosiness. The package comes with a 3-piece fibreglass paddle that can be easily folded so you can carry it in the bag that comes with your SUP "“ it won't be easier and more fun!

Construction
With dimensions 11'2X31+" (340cm x 79cm), you get a board that gives you incredible stability for an inflatable board regardless of the conditions without losing the ability to get a decent glide on the water. The 340cm gives the board good directional and speed. The weight on the board is 9kg so it is easy to carry both in the bag but also when you need to get in/out of the water. The board comes with a single fin that does not require tools which just makes it even easier for you who want to quickly and easily on the water. Wondering if the board is called 31+? On this particular model, Starboard has created an extra-wide 'tail' on the board which makes it much easier to go back and make a turn as well as provide extra speed which is indicated by a +.
Zen construction combines lightness and strength with Starboard's 'linear Drop stitch', a new way to sew the board. This gives you extra strength in length, giving you a better glide, extra stiffness and response. The joints on a SUP board are super important because it's often the ones that put a limit on how hard you can pump your board. The higher the pressure the more stiffness you get in your board which gives a much better experience on the water. Starboard has for several years developed a new technology that they call Heat Welding. Instead of glueing the board together as you have done for many years, they weld the new board together which gives 2 great advantages. The board gets stronger in the collection and you get a better experience on the water. As a bonus, it is no longer necessary to use glue which eventually ends up in the oceans. Zen construction is one of the absolute best constructions on the market compared to what you get for your money. So you get a board that is both light in kilos and price without compromising on performance!
