The Bataleon Fun.Kink is a directional twin snowboard for the whole mountain. Bataleon made it for intermediate snowboarders who want to sharpen their skills. The flex is 4 on a scale of 1 to 10, and the camber is medium.
The board has Bataleon's 3BT, Triple Base Technology, with SideKick. The base lifts gradually toward the sides in the nose and tail, with extra uplift just outside the widest points. The tips act more like a hull, so the board floats better in powder, slices through crud and rolls easily from edge to edge. Combined with the camber, 3BT reduces the risk of catching an edge while you keep your ollie power and carving grip. Two SuperTubes, hollow carbon cylinders, sit on either side of the core. They add pop and give the camber more snap. The core is poplar with hardwood beech stringers that strengthen the board's backbone and reinforce the inserts. The sidewalls are poured urethane instead of classic ABS. It is the same material as skateboard wheels, and it bonds better and lasts longer. The fiberglass is Bi-Ax, a two-way weave. It keeps the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness, which leaves room to get creative. At 154 cm, the waist is 25.1 cm and the sidecut radius is 7.75 m.
