Oakley built the Channel Jacket for freestyle riding and ordinary days on the mountain. This version comes in Dark Umber and uses a 2-layer construction with FNDry 10K waterproofing and 15K breathability.
Insulation is zoned where it earns its place: 80g through the body and 60g in the sleeves. That keeps the torso warm without making the arms stiff when you need to move. A Hydrofree DWR treatment makes moisture bead off the face fabric, so the shell does not saturate in wet snow. The critical seams are sealed and the front zipper is waterproof all the way up, which shuts out wind at the one place most jackets leak. Pockets close with zippers, both the hand pockets and the RFID pass pocket that lets you clear the gate without digging for a card. An adjustable hem drawcord seals off draughts, the cuffs are elasticated, and a leash holder keeps small gear attached. The result is a straightforward jacket for days that move between park, piste and a long break in the sun.
