Baldface Gore-Tex Jacket is an uninsulated shell for freeride, touring and resort conditions, shown here in Graphite/Dark Umber. The membrane is GORE-TEX in a 2-layer build rated at 28K waterproofing.
The whole jacket is seam sealed, and together with the Hydrofree DWR finish that is what keeps a storm from getting a foothold. The cut is shaped for unrestricted arm movement through technical terrain without the hem riding up. Zippered underarm vents release heat on the skin track or on the last stretch you cover on foot. The hood is fixed and helmet compatible, and with adjustable drawcords and a laminated brim it stays where you put it when the wind picks up. Zippered pockets cover the chest, an RFID pass pocket, a media pocket and an internal mesh pocket for goggles and gloves. A built-in RECCO reflector makes you searchable for rescue teams working with RECCO detectors. The regular fit is finished with a hem drawcord and hook-and-loop cuff straps so you can close everything off against snow.
- 2-layer GORE-TEX: waterproof and breathable membrane
- 28K waterproofing: holds up in sustained wet weather
- Full seam sealing: nothing gets through the stitching
- Uninsulated shell: you add the warmth underneath
- Underarm vents: temperature control on the way up
- Helmet compatible hood: coverage with a lid on
- RECCO reflector: searchable in a rescue scenario
- Internal mesh pocket: room for goggles and gloves
This one is for riders moving between lift access and self-powered days who need a shell that keeps sealing on the third storm day in a row.
