The Country Crown 60 is a classic touring ski that works in the track and just as happily beside it. A Vario Crown grip zone handles changing conditions, and the Air Channel core keeps weight down without making the ski fragile.
Vario CROWN is Fischer's fish scale pattern with varying depth. It cuts deepest where pressure is highest and flattens out towards the ends, which is why the ski grips in cold dry snow and in heavy wet snow alike, with no kick wax involved. The Air Channel core runs air channels through the wood, lowering weight and making the ski pleasant to lift and carry as well as to push along. The base is Sintec, a sintered base, treated with ULTRA TUNING, which is Fischer's grind for touring skis. Sidecut measures 60 mm at the shovel, 52 mm underfoot and 57 mm at the tail. That is wider than a pure track ski and gives noticeably more float once you step out of the groomed line. There is no steel edge here, so the ski belongs on forest roads, fields and gently rolling ground rather than on steep slopes. Fischer rates it for beginners and advanced skiers.
- Vario CROWN: grip across changing snow
- Air Channel core: light and durable
- Sintec base: glide wet or dry
- ULTRA TUNING: grind matched to touring
- Wider sidecut: float beside the track
- Waxless grip zone: ready all winter
Country Crown 60 is a ski that survives many seasons and asks nothing of you beyond being taken outside. It suits a family outing on a forest road as well as a steady loop in the groomed track.
