The Starboard Velocity Prepreg Carbon is a SUP paddle for long-distance paddling. Its high aspect ratio blade makes it easier to hold a high speed over time. This version has a fixed Skinny Oval Carbon Pro shaft with flex 35.
The thin blade profile disturbs the water as little as possible at the catch. Winglets along the edge reduce turbulence around the blade tips. The result is a stroke without flutter. The double concave adds stability and tracking and spreads the power evenly across the blade, while reducing splash. The blade tip is thin and flat for a clean entry and exit. A 14-degree blade angle gives you a longer reach on every stroke. The blade is full prepreg 3K carbon with a built-in shaft connection, so the join from blade to shaft is seamless. The oval shaft is thin at 27 x 31.25 mm and gives a tighter grip. The narrow oval shape makes the shaft stiff and adds power to each stroke. Flex 35 is a medium flex with a controlled rebound that helps you keep your rhythm over long distances. The handle has a high-density PVC core with Kevlar and carbon reinforcement.
