The Black Diamond Recon LT Stretch Shell is a light three-layer shell for skiing on either side of the rope. It is a slimmed-down version of the Recon Stretch, kept lean on features. This one comes in Indigo.
The fabric is BD.dry 3L, a 40-denier nylon ripstop with four-way stretch and a PFC-free DWR finish. The hydrophilic membrane lets water vapour pass through, so the jacket is waterproof yet breathable. A jersey backer on the inside feels comfortable next to the skin. The hood adjusts and fits over a helmet. The two hand pockets have Aquaguard zips, work with a pack on and have room for gloves, a beanie and a headlamp. The left sleeve has a zipped pass pocket. Pit zips dump heat, and the draft flap at the mouth is ventilated, with a snap tab to secure the jacket when it is worn open. An interior centre-back snap tab connects the jacket to your pants.
