The K2 Recon 120 is an all-mountain ski boot with a 120 flex and a 100 mm medium-volume last. It has a light Powerlite shell, GripWalk soles and K2's PrecisionFit Pro liner.
The Powerlite shell uses walls of varying thickness and four types of TPU to keep it light and responsive. At the back sits the Powerfuse Spyne, a co-injected Y-shaped support. It reinforces the Energy Interlock, which joins cuff and shell without rivets. The result is a smooth, progressive flex and more lateral stiffness. Over the instep the TPU is softer, so the boot is easy to get in and out of. Both shell and cuff can be heat-moulded. The liner is pre-moulded from heat-mouldable Ultralon foam. It has an asymmetric tongue, pre-moulded ankle pockets and a high-density power collar. A one-piece cam strap cinches tighter than a traditional power strap. Dual cuff alignment gives 2 degrees of adjustment to each side. The GripWalk soles are rockered and replaceable. They add grip when you walk without changing power transfer or release at the binding.
