The Völkl Racetiger SL is a slalom ski for short turns and lightning-quick edge changes. It has the tightest radius in the Racetiger line and comes with the Marker rMotion TL 12 GW binding, premounted on Völkl's R-Motion Toolless system.
The tip features Tailored Carbon Tips, with carbon fibers embroidered onto a carrier material and placed along the stress lines. Fiber thickness and alignment control stiffness and torsion. The result is a light shovel that gets into the turn quickly and builds up energy. You can steer the ski through the tightest turns with less power and no loss of precision or control. The narrow waist makes it lively and the edge changes precise. The build combines two full layers of Titanal, 3D.Glass and Völkl's Multilayer Woodcore. An extra layer of glass above the sidewall adds edge grip on icy slopes. Vertical glass in the tip and tail gives more pop from edge to edge. The sidecut is 126-67-102 mm. At 165 cm the radius is 12.6 m, and the ski weighs 3020 g without binding.
