The Faction Prodigy 4 is a freeride and powder ski with a 116 mm waist that builds on the success of its siblings with a wider design for optimal float on powder days.

The Prodigy 4 excels at buttering, smearing and stomping big airs, while nimbly dancing through powder-filled forests and keeping reliable edge hold and precision in tight turns. The shape is a Directional Twin with a considerably narrower tail than tip, so the descent stays controlled, while the twin-tip tail invites play and switch riding. The core is poplar wood, a light, medium-weight wood with good flex and vibration absorption that provides pop, buttering and stability plus grip and torsional stiffness. An Elliptical Sidecut combines a longer radius underfoot with a shorter radius in the tip and tail for easy pivots and effortless turn initiation. Mustache Flex gives stability in front of and behind the binding for solid edge hold and progressive flex in the tip and tail that absorbs bumps and snow. XL 2.5 mm steel edges are 25% wider than the industry average, and a Full Strength Sidewall plus Anti-Chip Micro-Cap protect the construction. Faction rates it flex 4/10, float 9/10 and style 4/10.

  • Wider 116 mm platform: optimal float on powder days
  • Poplar core: pop, buttering, stability and torsional stiffness
  • Directional Twin: controlled descent with a twin-tip for switch and play
  • Mustache Flex and Elliptical Sidecut: stable edge hold and easy turns
  • XL 2.5 mm steel edges: 25% wider than the industry average
  • Full Strength Sidewall and Anti-Chip Micro-Cap protect core and edges
  • Recycled and locally sourced materials in production

A playful, powder-oriented freeride ski for intermediate and expert skiers who want to float, butter and jump.
