The Leki Mezza Ultralite TR is a ski mountaineering pole that Leki built purely for racing. It has a PRC 1000 carbon shaft and Leki's Nordic Trigger Shark grip. This one comes in Bright Red/Violet/Neonyellow.
PRC stands for Performance Racing Carbon. The carbon keeps the pole very light but still stable. Trigger Shark is a grip and strap technology that Leki developed for Nordic disciplines. The grip gives precise control and good power transfer on the climb. With the Shark Loop and the Quick Release button, you click in and out of the grip in seconds. The Nordic system only releases with the button, not in a fall. All Shark straps and gloves work with all Shark poles, but not with Leki's alpine Trigger poles. The strap adjusts to your hand. At the bottom sits a cross-country racing basket made for soft snow and freshly groomed tracks. Together with the Carbide Tip, it gives a direct, precise hold on both snow and hard ground.
