The O'Neill Hyperfreak 5/4+ Chest Zip Full is a winter suit for surfers and kiters who want warmth without giving up range of motion. It is built from TechnoButter 3 and TB3X neoprene, closes with the F.U.Z.E. chest zip and comes in the Temperedsteel/Twilightblue colourway.

The 5/4+ figure is neoprene thickness. There is 5 mm across the torso, 4 mm through the arms and legs, and the plus adds another half millimetre of material for extra warmth. TechnoButter 3 covers the body and legs. It is 20 percent lighter and absorbs 30 percent less water than earlier neoprene, so the suit stays light and dries quickly. TB3X sits in the arms and shoulders, lighter again and with more stretch, which you feel directly in every paddle stroke. Seams are glued and blindstitched, sealing water out while keeping the panels flexible. The F.U.Z.E. closure runs a free floating zipper across the chest, giving easy entry and exit and leaving the back free of a rigid zip panel. O'Neill rates the suit for water between 4 and 11 degrees Celsius.

  • TechnoButter 3 body and legs: quick drying
  • TB3X arms and shoulders: unrestricted stretch
  • F.U.Z.E. chest zip: easy entry, flexible back
  • Glued and blindstitched seams: watertight and supple
  • Krypto Knee Padz: protection where you kneel
  • Minimal seam design: less rubbing against the skin
  • External key pocket with loop: keys stay put

This is a suit for the experienced surfer or kiter who keeps going through the cold months. Light neoprene, sealed seams and a front entry add up to real warmth without the bulk that thick suits usually bring.
