The Burton Family Tree High Fidelity is a freeride board for big mountain riding. Burton developed it with its team, inspired by the Natural Selection Tour. It is built for speed, control and power in steep terrain. The graphic on this version is artist Ryan Crotty's abstract mountainscapes.
The profile is Directional Camber, with camber under both feet and a rockered nose. The camber keeps the board stable in variable conditions, and the nose floats in soft snow. The shape is Freeride Directional with 7 mm of taper. Ride it flat on the base and it feels like a twin. Put it on edge and it turns tight and quick. The Super Fly II 700G core uses two wood species for pop at a lower weight. 45° Carbon Highlights run from tip to tail and add snappy pop without the stiff side effects. Burton puts the board at the stiff and aggressive end of the scale and rates it strongest for all-mountain and powder.
