The Ride Engine Elite Carbon Type 1 Hyperlock is a hard-shell harness for kiteboarding and windsurfing. It pairs a carbon shell with Ride Engine's Hyperlock spreader bar. This one comes in Black Smoke.
The shell is the Step-2, the next evolution of the Elite hard shell. It is made from 12K carbon and shaped from biometric analysis on all axes for better comfort and fit. Ride Engine rates it as the stiffest flex in its harness line. Hyperlock ratchets replace the traditional webbing connection. The technology is patented and licensed and has been tested for over six years, including a year and a half in-house at Ride Engine. The spreader bar is highly adjustable and works with an aftermarket closed metal loop, a sliding rope spreader or a windsurf hook. The padding is ergonomic Fusion closed-cell foam. Ride Engine has cut out excess material without giving up comfort or support. A medium weighs 1 kg. Neoprene sits at the critical contact points, and EVA inserts stop the harness from twisting.
