HEAD Super Joy is an on-piste ski for advanced women who like to ski fast and athletically. It comes as a set with the SLR 11 GW binding.
A new shape lengthens the sidecut, so the ski moves easily from long to short turns. Carbon in the poplar core keeps the ski light yet strong. The Better Balance base gives a constant ramp angle whatever the length of your boot sole. That puts you in an optimum position for easy turn initiation and stability at speed. EMC uses ceramic piezo plates in the front and rear of the ski. They convert kinetic energy into electrical energy and use it to absorb unwanted vibrations. The profile is Allride Rocker with 20% tip rocker and 80% camber. At 163 cm the shape is 120-75-106 mm and the turning radius is 14.0 m.
The SLR 11 GW has the VX toe with BTR kinematics, which gives constant release values in backward twisting falls. The SLR PRO base has a wider contact area that improves power transmission without affecting the natural flex of the ski. The Full Diagonal Toe releases through 180 degrees, both horizontally and vertically. Stand height is 28 mm, and the binding works with adult alpine and GripWalk boots.
