The Marker Duke PT 13 is a freeride binding that skis like an alpine binding on the way down and climbs like a pin binding on the way up. The release range is DIN 4 to 13. This one comes in grey and black.
The toe piece is called Ride & Hike. To walk, you unlock the upper part and tilt it forward, which uncovers the pin binding. You can also take the upper jaw off and store it in your backpack, saving 300 g per foot on the climb. The Lock & Walk unit locks the brake automatically and gives you a 10-degree climbing aid. For the descent, you click the jaw back onto the base plate. Auto Quad Lock secures it at four points as you step in, and the toe then works just like an alpine toe. The heel is the third-generation Inter Pivot 3 Freeride, with improved power transmission, energy absorption and vertical elasticity and easier step-in. The stand height is 24 mm for direct power transfer and quick edge changes. The stainless steel AFD gliding plate is moveable, which gives a precise release that is almost unaffected by dirt, snow and ice. With Multinorm, you adjust the plate height with a screw at the front, so the binding fits alpine, touring and GripWalk soles.
