Shown in Mist, the Oakley Bowls Alpha Crewneck is an insulated crewneck for skiers and snowboarders who want warmth without volume. It combines a Polartec Alpha lining with a hybrid construction that adds stretch where it matters.
Polartec Alpha is an active insulation built to breathe while you work. It holds heat when you are sitting still on the chairlift and vents moisture as soon as your heart rate climbs on the way up. The hybrid construction means Oakley places different fabrics where each does the most good: 90 percent polyamide with 10 percent elastane, 93 percent polyester with 7 percent elastane, and a panel in 78 percent recycled polyester. The result is a layer that stretches across shoulders and arms while still blocking wind at the front. A side entry zipper gives quick access, and the zippered hand pocket keeps keys and a pass secure while you ride. A drawcord sits at the bottom hem and the cuffs are elasticated, so the edges stay close. Oakley lists the weight at 155 grams, and a leash holder is sewn in. The regular cut sits under a shell without adding bulk.
- Polartec Alpha lining: warmth that still vents
- Hybrid construction: stretch exactly where you move
- Side entry zipper: access without opening the whole front
- Zippered pocket: secure spot for keys and a pass
- Hem drawcord: shuts out draughts
- Elasticated cuffs: sit close at the wrist
- 155 grams: light enough for a full day
The crewneck covers freeride, freestyle and resort days, and it works on its own through autumn. Low weight and active insulation make it an obvious mid layer for long days on the mountain.
