ANON SKI HELMETS

Anon has upgraded their ski helmets for this year's 2023 winter season, equipping the new helmets with the renowned WaveCel technology. If you haven't heard about WaveCel before, we've got you covered.

WaveCel

WaveCel is a technology developed by Trek, a leading bicycle manufacturer, and the technology has also been integrated into ski helmets. WaveCel is a multi-layer construction that uses a unique material to reduce the impacts transmitted to the head during a collision.

In ski helmets, WaveCel technology is incorporated in the helmet's inner liner. The liner consists of a series of cells designed to bend and crumple upon impact, which helps to absorb and disperse the energy from the collision. This is intended to provide a high degree of protection against both linear and rotational impacts, which are common in ski accidents.

The outer shell of the helmet is typically made from a strong polycarbonate material, which provides an additional layer of protection against impact and wear. The shell is also designed to be aerodynamic and reduce wind resistance, which can help improve performance on the slopes.

WaveCel ski helmets have been extensively tested and found to provide a high degree of protection against a range of impacts. In a study conducted by Virginia Tech Helmet Lab, WaveCel ski helmets received the highest safety rating of any ski helmet that was tested. The study showed that WaveCel ski helmets offered a significant reduction in the risk of head injuries compared to traditional foam helmets.

WaveCel ski helmets are also designed to be comfortable and stylish. They are available in a range of colors and designs with features such as BOA and ear pads that help keep the rider warm and comfortable during long days on the mountain.

All in all, WaveCel is a highly innovative technology that has been successfully integrated into ski helmets to provide a high degree of protection against both linear and rotational impacts. With its combination of safety, comfort, and style, WaveCel ski helmets are an excellent choice for skiers seeking the ultimate in head protection.
