YETI - Built for the wild

YETI - Built for the wild

How did YETI start their journey and what things inspired them to create what is today one of the biggest outdoor brands in the world.

Brothers who love hunting and fishing

Growing up, brothers Roy and Ryan Seiders had a passion for the simple life in nature. Hunting, fishing and traveling to undiscovered latitudes with their entrepreneurial father were some of the best things they knew. As a result, they grew up in a mix of wildlife, unknown territory and high-quality equipment.

On all their adventures, an important part was always the equipment. It had to be made of good materials to withstand the environment. They soon discovered that the coolers they brought with them weren't up to standard - handles broke, locks came loose and lids broke. In addition to the hassle of changing coolers season after season, the problem also limited the family's good times. That frustration led the brothers to a solution.

In 2006, the Seiders brothers founded YETI Coolers with one simple mission: build the cooler they would use every day if it existed. One that was built for the serious outdoor enthusiast. One that could withstand all the beating they knew they would put it through. One that simply wouldn't break. They decided early on in the process that product innovation should come from their own experience - not from market research and data analysis. Today, YETI products are spread across most of the world, doing what they were made to do 100% when it matters most.

Quality, quality, quality

Ever since day one, it's been all about the products for YETI. That's why they started and that's why they're still going strong. Today, a wide range of products have been added to their range, including cups, dog bowls, bags, and much more.

"Built to the Wild" is YETI's slogan, and it fits perfectly. The next time you hold a YETI product in your hand, notice how it feels and notice all the little details that are made to make it the best possible experience for you. For example, the coolers have Permafrost insulation that keeps your beverages cool for days and Doublehaul handles made from military-grade polyester rope. If we take a closer look at the cups, they're all made of stainless steel and can of course withstand all the trips in the dishwasher you want to give them. Even their dog bowls are made with a Bearfoot Ring that makes them unbreakable.

If we delve deeper into the brand, we can clearly see that YETI is chasing the active lifestyle enriched with all the experiences nature has to offer. This can be seen on their Instagram, which is partly focused around the products, but also has a lot of material that is all about the wild moments that mother nature gives for free.

So if you're looking for a cooler that never breaks, a cup that can be machine washed countless times, or a bag that is completely waterproof, we recommend you take a closer look at YETI.
