Welcome a game changer in neoprene boots, Solite. The Solite neoprene boot is the result of a 5-year development process, where development and testing among professional athletes has led to a boot with the perfect qualities for water sports. Many water sports athletes prefer a very direct response between foot and board, and that's exactly what the Solite neoprene boot delivers!
The qualities of Solite
The neoprene boot is made of a natural rubber material that is incredibly soft but at the same time very flexible when it comes to a good grip on the surfboard or among smooth rocks at the edge of the ocean. The boot can be warmed up with hot water, which then allows the boot to mold 100 percent to the anatomy of your own foot. Furthermore, the sole is modulated in a thermal foam material that dries extremely quickly, which means that bacteria cannot simply develop from the inside of the boot. The split-toe design also ensures that your foot stays exactly where it should be. The Solite neoprene boot is designed with 4 times sealed seams: Blind-stitched, glued, taped on the inside and sealed with liquid welding on the outside. Exactly how neoprene should be designed.
Solite has also developed the sports sock that perfectly matches the neoprene boot, the Heat Booster Split Toe sock. The benefits of the sock are almost supernatural. It is developed in a material fusion of polyester, nylon and spandex, a fusion that gives the sock an incredibly quick-drying ability that has difficulty absorbing water. Another great feature of the sock is that it goes well with any sport. Whether it's diving, cycling, running or any other sport, a warm and quick-drying sock is an essential tool.
How to choose the right size
Solite comes with 4 different neoprene boots for water sports (2 mm, 3 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm).
-
3 mm Solite is well suited for conditions with water temperatures above 10°C
-
6 mm Solite is well suited for conditions with water temperatures below 5°C
- 8 mm Solite is well suited for the coldest water temperatures
Solite is designed to be heated with warm water before first use. Since the neoprene boot enlarges during heating, you should pay attention to your size selection:
If you are a woman, we recommend that you go 1-1.5 sizes down from what you normally wear in your everyday shoes.
If you're a man, you should just go down half a size from your normal shoe size. So if you wear size 43 in normal shoes, a size 42.5 would be ideal.
If you practice your water sports in cold temperatures and want to use a 1mm Heat Booster sock under your neoprene boot, we recommend that you use your normal shoe size for your Solite.

STEP-BY-STEP customization of the Solite neoprene boot
Solite neoprene boots give the best fit if you heat them up before using them for the first time. The procedure is totally simple and requires nothing more than boiling water and a hand wash:
- Roll down the shaft of the neoprene boots and place them in the sink while boiling 1.5 L of water.
- When the water is boiling, pour it slowly into the boot until it reaches the edge of the neoprene boot upper. Wait 5 minutes while the water softens the boot.
- After the 5 minutes, carefully pour out the boiling water and rinse the boots with cold water.
- Test the warmth of the boot with your hands and pour out the cold water as soon as the neoprene boot has reached the temperature you think your foot can withstand for about 10 minutes.
- Put on the Solite neoprene boots and if you want to use Heat Booster socks, make sure your big toe is comfortable in the boot.
- Spend 10 minutes walking around in the boots.
- Wupti, the boot now fits the anatomy of your foot.
3 tips to take good care of your Solite boot
It's not hard to take good care of your Solite, but if you want to make sure your neoprene boots last just a little longer, here are a few effective tips:
- Sharp fingernails are one of the biggest and underestimated enemies of any neoprene material. Although Solite is designed to withstand tough conditions, do yourself a favor and keep your nails short.
- Avoid leaving your boots in direct sunlight. This goes for so much other neoprene gear, but if you accidentally do this with your Solite neoprene boot, you can always warm it up again.
- The stitching of your neoprene gear is one of the most important things to look after when it comes to neoprene gear. A pair of Solite Heat Booster socks are designed to avoid friction when getting the boot on and off, which means that the boot is not exposed to unnecessary stress around the seams, and an added bonus is that they really retain heat.
