The final at this year's slopestyle championships was at an unbelievably high level - perhaps the best championships of all time, both on snowboard and ski.

One Open Sky team rider and newly crowned Danish Slopestyleski Champion, Rasmus Dalbjerg Jørgensen, put together an extremely stylish and clean run that secured him the gold. However, it was a very close race between our two team riders, Rasmus DJ and Jakob Ebskamp, who scored 92 and 90 points respectively in the final.

Rasmus DJ rode this competition on his usual competition skis; Faction Candide 1.0 - see our large selection of Faction skis here.

Jakob Ebskamp skied a fantastic and stylish race on his Line Blend skis. See our large selection of Line skis here.

6th place was taken by our very own Rune Bach, who with his height of just under 2 meters, still got the tricks to be incredibly stylish. Rune rode the Faction Candide 2.0.

One Open Sky team rider Lasse Lehwald has been on the podium several times at this year's Danish Championships. He won the gold medal for men in the slopestyle snowboard discipline with 91 points out of a possible 100. Lasse competed on his Burton Kilroy board - see our large selection of Burton Snowboards here.

No. 5 in the slopestyle competition was also taken by one of our own - the living Danish snowboard legend, Mikkel V. Jørgensen, who rode a Burton Free Thinker.

The men's Big Air final was an intense and exciting round with an outcome that few expected. The gold was won quite convincingly by style master Simon Storgaard, who threw a completely clean and delicious double cork 1260 in his second run. This secured him a score of 98 points out of a possible 100. Congratulations to Simon!

Our own man in cloud sauce, Rune Bach, grabbed a great 3rd place with a delicious cork 900 safety, which secured the day's highest participant a great 79 points. Also here in Big Air, Rune competed on his Faction Candide 2.0

The 5th and 6th places were also taken by our people - Rasmus DJ and Johan Duus respectively, who both ride Faction skis.

The Snowboard Big Air final for men was almost historic. Team rider Lasse Lehwald, who earlier this week won gold in the slopestyle discipline, chose to throw a backside double cork 1080 over the big kicker, which secured him an almost perfect score of 98 points out of 100 possible. The competition for gold was incredibly close when Jonas Strømsted landed his frontside double cork 1080, which secured him 92 points and a great second place. Lasse again took the gold on his Burton Kliroy board.

3rd place went to our own Mikkel V. Jørgensen, a true legend and pioneer in Danish snowboarding. Mikkel safely landed his backside 540 and threw in a nice nosegrab. Mikkel also rode in this final on his Burton Free Thinker board.

When the big air final was over, something historic happened. The boys continued to ride the big air jump, and today's runner-up Jonas Strømsted was millimeters away from landing Denmark's first triple cork, respect to Jonas from here.

All in all, it was a fantastic DM, where the weather was great and there was a great energy - and with a level that we as Danes can be proud of! We encourage everyone to come along to next year's DM, as it's a fantastic spectator-friendly event. We thank Sunweb for a great event and the task force that helped make it all possible.

See you next year!
