Faction skis

The Faction Collective, or just Faction, has been producing world-class skis since 2006. Faction started as a protest against the established ski brands that dominated the market and, according to Faction, subjugated the ideals that skiing should live by.

However, budgets were small in the beginning, and Faction had to think outside the box to establish itself in the market. What they lacked in budget, they had to make up for with creativity. This mentality still shines through today, with Faction providing some of the most innovative solutions on the market - both in skiing and apparel. Instead of focusing solely on producing and selling as many skis as possible, Faction is more focused on new initiatives and developing skiing that aligns with the skier's own interests.

The inspiration comes from their headquarters in Verbier, Switzerland. This is where they have been based since 2006, and with some of the world's best Freeride and Freestyle terrain in their backyard, it's easy to see how such a humble start has led to Faction's current success. Unlike many other brands, Faction also produces their own skis by hand and in their own factories, all of which are located in the Alps, close to their headquarters.
Faction has unsurprisingly attracted many of the best professional skiers in the world. Without comparison, of course, the French Candide Thovex, who also has his own line of skis. On the women's side, Faction also has the leading freestyler, Estonian Kelly Sildaru, who is the youngest X-games winner in history.
Up to 2023, Faction has once again delivered an impressive line-up, with both regulars and new additions.faction

Prodigy Series

This ski series can be seen as Faction's flagship. An uncompromising ski that guarantees fun all over the mountain. The Prodigy is available in four different widths that also serve four different purposes. The Prodigy consists of a wood core similar to what you would find in a park ski. However, Faction has managed to build it so strong that it provides enormous stability even on the piste or in deep snow. The Prodigy is easy to control, fun and fast enough to keep up even on the piste. The Prodigy series is available in widths: 90 mm, 98 mm, 106 mm and 116 mm. In addition, the Prodigy is also available in a specialized women's model. The Prodigy series is for those who want it all, without compromise. When you buy a Prodigy, you get a ski that can be enjoyed by everyone in all circumstances, as this series is truly an 'All-Mountain Ski'.

Candide Thovex Series

The legend Candide Thovex has been skiing for Faction since 2013, where he has also produced his very own signature ski. Designed by Candide himself, the CT, as it's also known, differs from the rest of Faction's line-up in almost every way. The core is made of lightweight wood for strength and stability. The shape of the ski is created and conceived by Candide, who have also innovated a new way of placing the binding on the ski. The binding on the CT series is placed at the narrowest point of the ski, which supports a more natural flow and rhythm in turns. The Candide Thovex series is for the skier who freestyles everywhere on the mountain - whether it's in the park, on the piste or in the deep snow. Candide skis are exactly the same as the ones you can buy. However, you shouldn't count on the nivaeut being included in the box. The Candide Thovex series is available in four different widths: 92 mm, 102 mm, 112 mm and 122 mm.

The Agent Series

The Agent series is Faction's attempt to create a true touring ski. With the ultra-lightweight carabao wood core, the ride up feels like a breeze. However, some stability is provided by an inlaid titanium
plate under the binding, so even though the ski is light, it's not made of cardboard. The ski has a 'progressive shape' that makes it easy to maneuver and fun in the deepest snow. When you buy an Agent Ski, Faction has also committed to donating 1% of the sales price to organizations that focus on climate and the environment. The Agent series is also available in four different widths: 86 mm, 96 mm, and new for this season also in 106 mm and 116 mm.
