Young Gun Freestyle LXT 2026

The JP Young Gun Freestyle LXT is a compact 65 litre windsurf board for kids and youth sailing in high winds. It is a low volume board for manoeuvres, freeriding and above all freestyle.

Light kids sail small rigs, and once they can get planing and use a harness, a big board becomes too bulky. The Young Gun Freestyle has compact dimensions and a trim that matches small sails. The mast box sits further back, closer to the footstraps, so the board responds quickly. The stance is narrow for shorter legs, and the footstrap inserts sit closer together for small feet. Long footstrap plugs give a wide trim range, so the stance width can be adjusted and the board can stay with your child as they grow. A footstrap scale makes it easy to set the straps to the foot size. The board planes early and has explosive pop. It is built in JP's LXT construction with an EPS core, an Innegra nose reinforcement and a quadraxial fibre layup in the full standing area. The deck is Paulownia wood.
