The Leki Wyldbird TR is a fixed-length alpine ski pole for the piste and powder. It has a Trigger 3D ProG grip, a Trigger Mesh Strap and two baskets. This one comes in Neonorange/Neonyellow/Bright Red.
The fixed length gives direct, precise handling and a confident feel at high speed. The shaft is a 16 mm tube in HTS 6.5 aluminium, which is stable and reliable. The Trigger 3D ProG is a slim grip in 2K Supersoft. Its non-slip surface gives you a secure hold and good power transfer. With the Trigger System, the strap or glove clicks straight into the grip. Hand and pole are linked, which gives you more control. In a fall, the connection releases once enough force pulls in a certain direction. You can also click out with the button on the grip. All alpine Trigger straps and gloves work with the pole, but Leki's Nordic Trigger system does not. The compact Cobra basket keeps the pole from sinking into the snow on the piste. For deep snow, you swap it by hand for the Big Mountain basket. The steel tip sits inside the shaft and gives precise pole plants and good grip on almost any surface.
