Cut for women, the O'Riginal RG8 5/4 Chest Zip Full is the winter suit in the O'Neill O'Riginals line. It closes with a chest zip and is built on the RG8 materials, with a natural rubber core at its heart.
RG8 is short for Regenerate, and the line first launched in 2010. The idea is to keep the stretch and the durability while building the suit from materials that put less strain on the ocean. RG8 therefore combines UltraTech and Firewall liners formulated with recycled fibres with a Yulex natural rubber foam core. 5/4 is neoprene thickness: 5 mm across the torso, where the body loses most heat, and 4 mm through arms and legs, where movement has to stay free. The chest zip closure places the zipper across the chest instead of down the back. The opening is smaller, so less water flushes into the neck, and the back stays soft with no rigid panel. O'Neill recommends the suit for cold water and for surf, kite and wake. The line is known for clean, classic styling without loud graphics.
