The Leki WCR Pro SL TR is a slalom race pole with a Trigger 3D SL grip and Leki's Trigger System. The shaft is a sturdy 18 mm tube in HTS 6.5 aluminium, made for slalom gates. This one comes in Bright Red/Violet/Neonyellow.
The aluminium is high-strength, and Leki hardens it using a special process for stability and better resistance to impacts. The teardrop-shaped airfoil profile gives the pole good aerodynamics, and the shaft is straight with no bend. Finger indentations help your hand find the right position every time, and the grip shape is made for slalom. With the Trigger System, the strap or glove clicks straight into the grip. Hand and pole are linked, which gives you more control. In a fall, the connection releases once enough force pulls in a certain direction. You can also click out with the button on the grip. All alpine Trigger straps and gloves work with the pole, but Leki's Nordic Trigger system does not. The Racing/Trekking basket is compact and keeps the pole from sinking into the snow. It changes easily by hand. The steel tip sits inside the shaft for precise pole plants and good grip on almost any surface.
