The BCA Tracker4 is the brand's most advanced avalanche beacon, with three antennas, a large display and a rugged, ergonomic case.
With three antennas the Tracker4 gives precise direction and distance readings during a search, with a maximum range of 50 meters and a search strip width of 55 meters. Big Picture (BP) mode gives an overview with multiple burials, Signal Suppression (SS) helps isolate a single signal, and a multiple burial indicator plus a close proximity indicator speed up the search. The motion sensor automatically switches back to transmit mode (auto revert) if the searching partner is caught in a secondary slide. The display is a temperature-resistant LED display, and the software can be updated through a mini-USB port. The beacon runs on three AAA batteries and operates at 457 kHz.
