The K2 Recon X 120 BOA is a men's all-mountain ski boot with the BOA Fit System and a 120 flex. It shares the fit of the rest of the range, tuned for a powerful yet slightly more forgiving feel.
Recon sits in the medium volume of K2's MultiFit last, developed together with the BOA Fit System. K2 rates the last for boot widths of 97-100 mm. The BOA dial pulls thin, strong laces through low-friction guides. That gives a precise fit you can fine-tune in small steps. The TPU shell delivers a smooth, progressive flex across a broad range of temperatures. Power transfer to the edge is direct and predictable. The polypropylene cuff is light and keeps a consistent flex. Both shell and cuff can be heat-molded to your foot. A softer TPU instep makes it quick to get in and out. The P4 liner has a PVC outer, PE mid foam and an open-cell inner layer. It is soft and heat-moldable. A 10 mm PE tongue adds support without bulk. A 40 mm Velcro power strap closes the cuff and adds a little extra response. The GripWalk soles follow ISO 23223, come preinstalled and can be swapped.
