The QST 106 is Salomon's versatile freeride ski with 106 mm underfoot. It pairs a progressive freeride shape with a 16.5 metre radius and is sold without bindings.
The core is full poplar, which delivers liveliness, stability and good ski-to-snow contact while filtering out vibration. A titanal Ti Binding Reinforcement runs edge to edge underfoot for power and edge grip on hard snow. Basalt Superlight fibres and fibreglass keep weight down without leaving the ski vague. The Cork Damplifier in the tip is three times more absorbing than Koroyd and removes the chatter you would otherwise feel up front at speed. Full sandwich sidewalls provide precise edge contact. A wide tip and serious tail support make the ride predictable whether the snow is heavy or light.
- 106 mm underfoot: float in soft snow
- Full poplar core: lively and stable at once
- Cork Damplifier: cork calms chatter in the tip
- Ti Binding Reinforcement: titanal from edge to edge
- Basalt fibres: low weight with no loss of stiffness
- 16.5 metre radius: wide, flowing turns
The colourway is Black/Equipe Red/Almond Milk. It is for the experienced skier who starts the day on corduroy and finishes it in the side country, and who wants one ski that handles both.
