The Völkl Peregrine 76 is an all-mountain ski for long turns carved on the edge from start to finish. It can handle tight radii, but its real strength is switching between wide, clean race lines and fast, sporty carving. It comes with the Marker rMotion-T 12 binding on Völkl's R-Motion Toolless system.
The geometry has a wider shovel and shorter tip and tail rocker, so the ski can take turns of any radius. Up front sit Tailored Carbon Tips, laid down with Völkl's own Tailored Fibre Placement (TFP) process. The strength and alignment of the fibers set how much force you need and where the energy builds up. As soon as you start a turn, the ski steers in a measured, controlled way, depending on how you use the edges. The process also saves weight without costing stability. The core is a Multilayer Woodcore with hardwood next to the sidewalls and lighter wood in the middle. The hardwood adds power transmission and edge grip, and the lighter wood makes the ski agile. In the 3D.Glass layup, flat glass under the binding softens the center, and vertical glass in the tip and tail gives more pop from edge to edge. At 176 cm the sidecut is 124-76-104 mm and the radius is 17.6 m. With binding, the ski weighs 3270 g.
