Orka
Evening Haze

Orka in Evening Haze is a superlight junior helmet for kids who are getting serious about skiing or snowboarding. It weighs 320 grams and keeps a low-profile shell, so it never feels heavy or bulky on a young head.

The shell is built in-mold, fusing a light polycarbonate outer to the EPS liner. That construction holds the two layers as one unit, so the helmet protects without adding bulk, and that is where the low weight comes from. The EPS material is Salomon's standard shock absorption, taking on the energy of an impact rather than passing it through. The Custom Dial sits integrated in the liner, which means the fit is set with one turn of the wheel, even with the helmet on. That is handy when a thin beanie or balaclava goes underneath on a cold morning. Ventilation is fixed, so there is nothing to fiddle with mid-run and air simply flows through the shell. The liner comes out for washing, and the helmet is certified to CE-EN1077 and ASTM F-2040.

• 320 grams: light enough for a young head
• In-mold shell: polycarbonate and EPS as one unit
• EPS absorption: takes on impact energy
• Custom Dial: fit set with a single turn
• Low profile: sits close without bulk
• Fixed ventilation: nothing to adjust mid-run
• Removable liner: lifts out for washing

Orka is the helmet for families getting young riders going on the hill. Low weight, fast adjustment and certified impact protection make it easy to put on every morning without an argument.
