The NeilPryde RS:Flight Al is a modular aluminium and G10 windfoil designed with the emphasis on control, stability and early take-off. This is the 2018 model.
It works as a first foil while you learn to fly, yet it delivers plenty of speed and upwind performance for more advanced sailors. The base is an integrated, welded solid aluminium Deep Tuttle. It eliminates movement and gives a direct load transfer. Eleven titanium bolts offer a high strength to weight ratio without corrosion problems. The mast is hollow to save weight, and three vertical cross-ribs keep it stiff. It is made from tempered 6061-T6 aluminium that resists salt water corrosion. The CNC machined fuselage blends into the wings with an integrated wing saddle for minimal drag. It has no forward protruding nose, which saves aluminium and weight. The G10 wings were developed specifically for hydrofoiling. The front wing profile gives constant lift across a wide wind range, because the angle of attack adjusts as your weight moves forward with speed. The wings are easy to fix by sanding. The tail wing can be adjusted with a washer under the front or back screw. A vertical stabiliser adds balance while you learn. You can remove it to cut drag and increase top speed. All parts come apart for compact packing.
