The Blackout version of the Granite Rock Pant is Oakley's straightforward shell pant for skiing and snowboarding. FN Dry 10K and a DWR finish handle the weather protection.
The base is an FN Dry 10K membrane rated at 10,000 mm water column, backed by a DWR treatment that makes snow bead off the face fabric. It is a shell without fixed insulation, so the warmth call stays with your mid layer. Articulated knees let the fabric follow you as you drop into a turn or boot up the side of a run. Zippered vents dump heat quickly, which is often the difference between a comfortable day and a soaked one. The waistband adjusts with elastic and Velcro tabs for a locked fit without a belt, and belt loops are there if you prefer one. Front zip hand pockets keep a pass and a phone secure. Low on the leg, reinforced cuffs and abrasion resistant kick panels handle steel edges, while inner boot gaiters and flapped ankle gussets seal snow out.
