HEAD Power Joy is an on-piste ski for expert women who want speed and precision. It comes as a set with the PRD 12 GW binding.
The construction is race-inspired. A poplar wood core with a high-quality aluminium alloy adds precision and power. A new shape lengthens the sidecut for more versatility across different turn shapes. The Better Balance base gives an optimum ramp angle, putting you in the right position for quick turn initiation and stability. EMC uses ceramic piezo plates in the front and rear of the ski to absorb unwanted vibrations. The profile is Speedrocker with 10% tip rocker and 90% camber. The subtle tip rocker adds stability and smooth turn transitions. Camber underfoot gives strong edge grip and quick response. At 163 cm the shape is 113-70-98 mm and the turning radius is 15.1 m.
The PRD 12 GW is a system binding with easy step-in and step-out. The VX toe with BTR kinematics gives constant release values in backward twisting falls. PowerRail feels solid underfoot and adds stability and durability. The Full Diagonal Toe releases through 180 degrees, both horizontally and vertically. Stand height is 33.5 mm, and the binding works with adult alpine and GripWalk boots.
